New Zealand Top for doing business A World Bank report has named New Zealand as the top country for ease of doing business, out of 145 countries surveyed. The report, Doing Business in 2005: Removing Obstacles to Growth, looks at regulations and procedures around starting or closing a business, hiring and firing workers, enforcing contracts, and getting credit, as well as registering property and protection for investors.
